§ Mrs. CurrieThe last complete development at this hospital included 168 acute beds and a boilerhouse, costing £4.4 million, and was opened on 31 March 1987. It is part of the largest ever sustained National Health Service building programme. Throughout England 480 schemes, each costing over £1 million, with a total value of over £3 billion, are at various stages of planning, design and construction.
Ministers have no plans to visit this hospital at present.
