§ Mr. LangSTRIDE, the job-creation enterprise set-up by British Rail, is already in operation and discussions on a wider economic initiative involving the Scottish Development Agency, local authorities and other local interests continue. The agency shares our wish to see the initiative launched as soon as possible, but this depends on agreement being reached on a programme of action and the necessary administrative arrangements.
