§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonA White Paper setting out the Government's proposals on future housing policy in Scotland will be published in the next few weeks. It will contain our response to the large number of useful comments received in response to the consultation document "Scottish Homes: A New Agency for Housing in Scotland", including explicit proposals concerning the future rights of those who are tenants of the Scottish Special Housing Association at present. My right hon. Friend and I will continue to attach particular importance to ensuring that those tenants are properly informed about the Government's proposals and have the opportunity to express their views concerning them. It is regrettable that tenants have been caused unnecessary anxiety over recent months through the activities of those who have sought to misinform them about our proposals.
