asked the Secretary of State for Wales what were the rates of conception (i) inside, and (ii) outside marriage, by age of women, in each health authority in Wales in 1985.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list the rates of conception and resultant maternity or abortion by age of women in 1985 in Wales.

The information is given in the following table. Details of the definitions and methods of estimation used were published in OPCS Monitor FMI 87/2 on 2 September 1987.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list the number of family planning clinics and family planning clinic sessions in each district health authority in Wales for each of the last five years.

The following table provides the number of premises used regularly at year-end by district health authorities for family planning sessions and the number of sessions held during the year.

The Department has no general powers to subsidise private residential establishments and nursing homes but a small number of projects have been supported through the urban programme and by means of urban development grant on the normal criteria applying to those schemes. I will write to the hon. Gentleman giving details.
