HC Deb 26 October 1987 vol 121 c134W
Dr. Godman

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what recent representations he has received regarding the possibility of creating an enterprise zone in Greenock or Port Glasgow.

Mr. Lang

The only recent representations have been from Inverclyde district council. The case for an enterprise zone remains under consideration but, as my right hon. and learned Friend has indicated to the district council, no decision can be taken until the findings on the current evaluation of the enterprise zone experiment have been fully considered.
