§ Mrs. Mahonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if an early response will be given to Calderdale council's request for additional capital allocation to meet his Department's requirements imposed following publication of the report by the Commission for Racial Equality on education in Calderdale.
§ Mr. DunnCalderdale's bid for a capital allocation for 1988–89 has not yet been received. When it is received we will give careful consideration to the particular issues raised by the report of the Commission for Racial Equality. The Department aims to notify authorities of their allocations around Christmas.
