§ Mr. GummerA statutory framework for the regulation of fish farming already exists. This framework involves various controls over the setting up of farms, water abstraction and discharge, and fish movements. The Government intend to add to these controls by extending the requirement for water abstraction licensing by water authorities to fish farms producing fish for the table.
