§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Prime Minister what was the total cost for policing the 1987 Conservative party conference in Blackpool; and how many arrests were made in connection with the policing operation there.
§ The Prime MinisterI understand from the chief constable of Lancashire that the estimated additional costs of policing the Conservative party conference were £829,500. The Lancashire police made three arrests in connection with their operation at the conference between 5 and 9 October 1987.
