HL Deb 30 November 1987 vol 490 c918WA
Lord Molloy

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will make representations to the Governments of Grenada and of the United States in an effort to stop the execution by hanging of the 13 men and one woman now sentenced to death on that island.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Lord Glenarthur)

No. This continues to be a matter for the Grenadian authorities alone and subject to the legal process in Grenada. Appeals and motions lodged by defence lawyers remain to be heard.
