§ Mr. Teddy TaylorTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if, pursuant to his statement on 24 November,Official Report, column 228, he will make a statement setting out the mechanism and procedures which would have the effect of reducing the levels and costs of export rebates within a stabiliser system.
§ Mr. MacGregorThe stabiliser arrangements under discussion in the Council would involve reductions in institutional support prices. For products in surplus this should lead to reductions in Community market prices. Export refunds are paid to bridge the gap between Community and world prices, and if Community prices are reduced the rates of export refunds would also be reduced.
