§ Mrs. ChalkerThe South African ambassador was called to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on 18 November. We supported the declaration by the Twelve on 23 November and United Nations Security Council resolution 602 of 25 November. On all of these occasions South Africa's intervention in Angola was condemned and the immediate withdrawal of its forces demanded.
