§ Mr. MacGregorIn view of the very small number of breeding ewes that we have recorded in north Yorkshire as being above our action level, I do not think that at present there is any need to impose general movement restrictions on sheep in that area in order to protect food supplies. As a precaution, however, I have served a direction under the Food and Environment Protection Act 1985 on the owner of the one flock involved preventing him from moving sheep out of his flock without my express permission.
