§ Mrs. CurrieOur present policy is that proceeds from sales should be retained by the district health authority which initiated the sale and reinvested in the local health service. On occasions proceeds, or part of them, may be retained by regional health authorities, for example if the sale was made possible by the provision of new capital funded facilities—when the region may wish to recoup its capital outlay — or if the proceeds are unusually large.
