Mr. JacksonThere was a total of 17,300 first degree science graduates leaving universities in the United Kingdom in 1986, compared with 14,000 in 1976, excluding medicine, engineering and agriculture. In 1986 there were also 8,600 science first degree graduates from polytechnics and colleges in Great Britain. Information for 1987 is not yet available.
