§ Mr. ButcherMy right hon. and learned Friend has not received recently any direct representations from the United States authorities on the financing of Airbus. My right hon. and learned Friend and Ministers from other Airbus partner countries took part in a meeting in London on 27 October between Ambassador Yeutter, United States trade representative, and Commissioner Willy de Clercq. As a result of that meeting, joint principles and objectives were agreed for continued negotiations between the two sides on Government support in the aircraft sector.
