§ 53. Mr. Gerald BowdenTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what progress has been made in the cost improvement programme in the South-East Thames region.
§ Mrs. CurrieSouth-East Thames regional health authority and its constituent districts have made cost improvement savings worth nearly £41 million in the last three financial years and plan savings worth over £17 million in the current financial year. These savings are retained within the region and are used for patient care.
