§ Mr. FowlerI last met the chairman of the British Tourist Authority on 22 July. My hon. Friend the Minister with responsibility for Tourism last me him in this capacity on 9 September. Similar topics were discussed on both occasions. I stressed the Government's commitment to the tourism industry and listened with interest to the views of both the chairman and the board of the authority on the problems and opportunities facing the industry.
