To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in theOfficial Report the total amount of his Department's budget allocated to the establishment of intermediate treatement centres in each of the last five years.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in theOfficial Report the number of intermediate treatment centres currently in existence in each regional authority, indicating any instances of where such centres are run jointly by regional social work departments and voluntary organisations.

Intermediate treatment work is carried out in different ways and different establishments. I shall write to the hon. Member about the range of provision made in Scotland.
