§ Mr. MoynihanMy reply of 5 November, at column858, gave the number of licences issued for falconry by species of avian predator, and the number of birds taken by those species over a five-year period. My reply of 16 November gave the number of birds of prey taken from the wild under licence during 1986. In 1986 no licences were issued to take merlins from the wild; 45 licences were issued to take sparrowhawks from the wild, and 39 sparrowhawks were taken.
