§ Mr. LeeThere is a wide range of frequently updated video and written material available for young people illustrating the many employment opportunities in tourism. Providers of relevant careers guidance material include the Manpower Services Commission's careers and occupational information centre, the English tourist board, the hotel and catering training board, trade organisations and individual employers in the industry, education foundations and professional associations, the trade press, commercial publishers, as well as my Department and the Department of Education and Science. The replies to a recent questionnaire my Department sent to all local authority principal careers officers showed how useful the existing material on careers in tourism is found to be.
