§ Mr. EggarWe believe that implementation of the agreement signed on 29 July by India and Sri Lanka offers the only route to a lasting settlement of the conflict. The Tamil militants have not accepted Sri Lankan and Indian offers of amnesty in return for surrender of weapons and support for the agreement.
