§ Mr. MoynihanThe Forth and Clyde canal is the responsibility of the British Waterways Board. We are currently considering the board's proposals to restore the canal to navigation through central Glasgow in conjunction with other agencies. The scheme involves a total public investment of £2.6 million and a capital contribution from the board of £350,000. We expect to let the board have a final decision very shortly.
