To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland when he last met the chairman of the Scottish Development Agency ; and what subjects were discussed.

[holding answer 26 October 1987]: My right hon. and learned Friend meets the chairman and chief executive of the agency frequently on occasions of mutual interest. The last formal meeting to discuss matters concerning the agency was held on 20 February 1987, when the issues discussed included the review of the agency, its role in the Scottish economy and its budgeting and planning cycles.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how much he expects the Scottish Development Agency to spend in the current year on management and computer consultancy.
