§ Mr. SpearingTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he expects to announce his revised land drainage and conservation guidance notes on procedures for water authorities, internal drainage boards, the Nature Conservancy Council and the Countryside Commission; and if these notes will provide guidance to drainage authorities on their operations in environment-ally sensitive areas.
§ Mr. Gummer[holding answer 13 November 1987]: The text of the guidelines has been finalised and we plan to issue them in the form of a booklet in about two months' time. I can confirm that the guidelines will offer specific advice on environmentally sensitive areas.
