§ 95. Mr. ButterfillTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he proposes to introduce legislation to oblige bureaux de change to conform to a code of conduct and to control commission charges.
§ Mr. MaudeI propose to introduce regulations under the Consumer Protection Act 1987 which will require banks and bureaux de change to display their exchange rates and any commission charges clearly and prominently. My Department will be consulting interested parties about the details in due course.
