§ Mr. PortilloIt is estimated that about 100,000 (just over 20 per cent.) of the families receiving family credit will also receive housing benefit. Of these about 25,000 will be receiving only rent rebate or rent allowance and 57,000 a rate rebate only. Fewer than 18,000 will receive both rent rebate/allowance and rate rebate.
