§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Transport (Lord Brabazon of Tara)Unauthorised vehicles enter bus lanes as a result of inadequate signing, deliberate misuse, and lack of understanding on the part of drivers. The Government are looking into these issues with a view to offering improved advice on design and signing of bus lanes. This should assist the police with their enforcement duties.
