§ Mr. McCartneyTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what special provisions are being made to allow for adequate schooling for people with haemophilia and HIV.
392W
§ Mr. DunnIt is for individual local education authorities to ensure that appropriate educational provision is available for all pupils in their areas. The Government have made it clear that, since there is no evidence that HIV infection can be passed on through everyday social contact in a school setting, pupils who are known to be HIV antibody positive should be free to attend school in the normal way.
