(2) how many representations he has received in favour of changes to the licensing laws in England and Wales in response to the Government's document outlining those proposals.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggA total of 545 representations have been received since we published our proposals for the reform of the licensing laws on 4 August. It is not possible to divide representations between those expressing support and those expressing concern about the published proposals. Many supported some proposals, but opposed others. While many opposed any relaxation of the licensing laws, there were others who opposed the proposals because they were not sufficiently radical.
