§ Mr. SalmondTo ask the Prime Minister if she will make a statement on co-ordination between the Scottish Office and the Department of the Environment on the comparison of suitable sites for the disposal of nuclear waste.
§ The Prime MinisterIt is in the first instance for UK NIREX Ltd. to bring forward proposals for a method and siting for a radioactive waste disposal facility. At that stage the relevant Departments will consider NIREX's proposals, and will liaise with other Departments as appropriate.
