To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the latest estimated outturn in 1987–88 for health and community services current expenditure.

The voted provision for the hospital and community health services in England in 1987–88 is £10,339,619,000. This sum is cash-limited and expenditure is expected to be contained within it.
