§ Mrs. RumboldThe number of foundation subjects within the national curriculum is limited by the need to give schools flexibility to cover other areas. Although home economics is not identified in the proposed legislation as a separate foundation subject, we expect some elements of it to feature in the national curriculum particularly through science, technology and art.
