HC Deb 12 November 1987 vol 122 c281W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) when guidance on planning for the National Health Service in war will be made available for inclusion in the emergency planning guidance to local authorities;

(2) if he will make available in the Library a copy of his plan for the organisation of the National Health Service in war.

Mrs. Currie

Individual health authorities are responsible for the preparation of plans for the organisation of the National Health Service in war, in line with guidance issued by the Department. This guidance, which has recently been revised, will come to Ministers for approval before being issued to the National Health Service in England as a health circular and before inclusion in the emergency planning guidance to local authorities. Health circulars are routinely placed in the Library.
