§ The Minister of State, Department of the Environment (Lord Belstead)Our draft planning guidance on major retail development, published for comment on 17th September, refers to the possible cumulative effects of large-scale retail development on the viability and vitality of nearby town centres as a whole. The draft guidance has been placed in the Library. The consultation period ends on 20th November.
