§ Mr. SainsburySeawolf and its variants is our principal point defence missile system and is entering service in increasing numbers. We are fitting conventional launch Seawolf to type 22 frigates and plan to fit vertical launch Seawolf to the type 23 frigates and AOR.
In addition to keeping under review the possibility of improvements and modifications, we are currently considering a lightweight version.
