§ Mr. GristAll local authorities and health authorities are required by statute to form joint consultative committees whose role is to advise their respective authorities on the joint planning and operation of community care services. In addition to the generality of moneys made available to local authorities through rate support grant and to the health authorities, my right hon. Friend supports care in the community developments with earmarked central funds and will continue to do so.
