§ Mr. SainsburyThree parallel feasibility studies into the option of replacing the assault ships Fearless and Intrepid are due to complete in autumn 1988. These would then be considered alongside the earlier feasibility study into extending the lives of these ships. I would not expect to make further announcements on the way ahead before 1989.
