To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis as to when the anti-terrorist squad ceased its inquiries into the activities of Mr. Frank Larsen.

I understand that the anti-terrorist branch ceased its enquiries into the activities of Mr. Frank Larsen on 22 October.

Mr. Galloway

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if any Minister in his Department had official communication with Mr. Frank Larsen over the past two years.

Mr. Hurd

No Home Office Minister can recall having any official communication with Mr. Frank Larsen over the past two years.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis on the nature of the correspondence taken by the police from Mr. Larsen's home.

I refer the hon. Member to the statement made by my right hon. and learned Friend the Attorney-General on Friday 23 October at column 1095.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will call for a report from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis as to which(a) hon. Members and (b) civil servants were questioned by the police in their investigations into the recently abandoned case at Lambeth magistrates' court against Frank Larsen and others.

I understand that six civil servants but no hon. Members were questioned by the police during their investigations into the activities of Mr. Frank Larsen and others.
