HC Deb 09 November 1987 vol 122 c81W
Mr. Robert Banks

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what studies he has undertaken to relieve congestion of traffic at road intersections where hold-ups regularly occur.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

Studies are frequently undertaken to investigate the cause of traffic problems on the trunk road network, including congestion at interchanges, and to consider possible solutions. The scale and type of study carried out depends on the particular problem. A comprehensive list of studies previously undertaken is not held centrally and could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
