HC Deb 09 November 1987 vol 122 c83W
Mr. Tony Banks

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will call for a report from the Civil Aviation Authority as to why a dispensation was given to Eurocity Express to fly two Dash-7 aircraft from London City airport without certification of airworthiness; if these aircraft are still using the airport; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

The Civil Aviation Authority, which is wholly responsible for aviation safety regulations, has told me that Eurocity Express Dash-7 aircraft were not given a dispensation to fly from London City airport without certification of airworthiness. Both aircraft were and are appropriately certificated.
