§ Mrs. ClwydTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received regarding the inclusion of economics as a foundation subject in the proposed core curriculum.
§ Mrs. RumboldWe have received many responses from individuals and organisations regarding time left by the national curriculum for additional subjects, and for topics and themes which are an important part of children's education at school. Organisations which have made such representations on economics and economic awareness include the Economics Association and the Economics Awareness Teacher Training Programme. Copies of those responses have been placed in the Library along with all other responses from organisations to our consultation document.
