§ Mr. JannerTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what leaflets and other information concerning the availability of his Department's benefits are available for citizens advice bureaux to distribute to their clients.
§ Mr. PortilloThere are 70 leaflets covering all specific social security benefits. In addition there are 16 "client group" leaflets aimed at particular groups which provide details of all benefits for each group.
The whole range of leaflets is being amended to take account of changes in benefits and new leaflets are being produced to cover income support, family credit and the social fund. The Department is also assisting the National Association of Citizens' Advice Bureaux in the updating and amendment of its own information packs which it issues to all citizens advice bureaux.
