§ Mr. William Rossasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how many sheep and lambs, and in what areas of England and Wales, are still under restriction for sale as a result of the nuclear accident at Chernobyl in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
§ Mr. Donald ThompsonIn England there are no restrictions on the sale of sheep. However, I estimate that some 126,000 sheep in and from part of Cumbria are still subject to post-Chernobyl movement and slaughter controls. The position in Wales is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales.
