§ Mr. Fryasked the Secretary of State for Transport what steps he intends to take to limit the increase in the number of air traffic movements in the south-east of England and to further the use of airports in other parts of the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyMy right hon. Friend has no such plans in mind. The Government remain committed to the policy set out in the 1985 airports policy White Paper (Cmnd. 9542) of encouraging the maximum use of regional airports to meet regional demand.
