§ Mr. ScottSupplementary benefit personal allowances for people living in ordinary board and lodging accommodation were last increased in April this year at the same time as the general uprating of benefits. Supplementary benefit, for the cost of board and lodging, increases to meet any rise in charges provided they do not exceed limits introduced in April 1985. The limits range from £45 to £70 a week depending on the area in which the accommodation is situated.
