§ Mr. MoynihanFigures for the numbers of notices served by surveying authorities under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 are not held centrally. Nor have we any information about the numbers of orders made except in cases where they are opposed and subsequently submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation. The relevant annual figures for each authority that has so submitted such an order to date are as follows:
