§ Mr. MoynihanThe Government's proposals for protection and enhancement of the water environment were published last year in its consultation paper, "The Water Environment: The Next Steps." A copy is lodged in the Library of the House. We are considering, in the light of the recent report by the Environment Committee, whether any further measures may be appropriate.
