§ Mr. Darlingasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether it is proposed that Scottish Special Housing Association tenants will suffer any diminution of their existing rights as a result of legislation to follow the consultative document on Scottish housing.
§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonNo. Suggestions that this might be the case are wholly without foundation. My right hon. and learned Friend has already taken steps to ensure that reassurance is available to tenants who have been caused unnecessary anxiety by those who have irresponsibly sought to mislead them.
§ Mr. McTaggartasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has any plans to introduce legislation to enforce the improvement of conditions in the private rented housing sector.
