§ The Attorney-GeneralI have read an article inThe Times of 28 October 1987 and have noted the remarks attributed therein to the Police Federation and to Sergeant Michael Bennett. I am anxious to respond to those remarks at the earliest available opportunity. Sentence on Mr. Baveghens has been postponed pending the preparation of social inquiry reports. It would not be appropriate for me to make any further comment until sentence has been passed and the case has been concluded.
