HL Deb 02 November 1987 vol 489 cc877-8WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When they expect to receive the result of police inquiries into new evidence concerning the Guildford and Woolwich bombings of 1974; and whether they are satisfied that the matter is being handled with sufficient urgency in view of the possibility of a miscarriage of justice.

The Earl of Caithness

My right honourable friend the Home Secretary is confident that the police are conducting their inquiries thoroughly and expeditiously. I cannot yet say when they will be in a position to submit their report.
